Hey Klams!

Great swimming last night to all the Klams! We beat Greensprings and will swim in our last meet on Monday, July 22 at Kingsmill (Mounts Bay Pool) at 6:00. This will be for the division championship. 

1. Team Picture: We will take our team picture on Monday, July 22 at 9:00 am. Please have your swimmer wear his or her team suit only- no shirts please. If your swimmer does not have a team suit that is fine! Please have them wear a suit that is as close to blue or black, if possible. (if not, no worries!) 
2. Pancake Breakfast: We will have our pancake breakfast on Monday, July 22 after the team picture. Please sign-up to bring an item (we have food, non-food and helper positions) on the website under "calendar" and then "team picture and pancake breakfast" sign-up. Thank you!!! Here is our schedule for the morning: (times may change a bit, depending on herding of kids) 
   1. 8:00- regular practice for 8:00 swimmers (big kids), will help move bleachers
   2. 9:00- everyone team picture (please arrive by 8:45 so your swimmer does not miss the picture)
   3. 9:15- everyone who practices at 8:00 and 10:00 will eat pancakes
   4. 9:15- 9:00 practice swimmers will practice
   5. 10:00- regular practice for 10:00 swimmers (little kids)
   6. 10:00- everyone who practiced at 9:15 will eat pancakes 
3. Team Shirts- if your swimmer did not receive his or her shirt, please see me or Coach Harold for help. We have a number of shirts left, if you would like to purchase an extra or one for yourself they are $5.00 a shirt. We will have them available at the pancake breakfast or at practice in the morning. 
4. Adult Night- Adult night/steak night is on Friday at 7:00! Its going to be delicious and super fun! Sign-up and pay at the front desk in the yellow envelope by Friday morning. The cost is $25 per person and covers delicious steak, potatoes, salad, rolls and dessert. Bring your own beverages. 
5. HUGE Thank you!! A HUGE thank you to each of you for bringing fruit, desserts and soda for us to sell in concessions. This really offsets our costs and helps make our concession stand a success! We rely on these funds throughout the year so a HUGE thank you!!!
6. Mini-Meet Saturday, July 27- this is the last chance for swimmers to earn their championship meet times. This is a wonderful meet and they give out large ribbons! The young swimmers will swim in the morning and the older swimmers in the afternoon. This meet is held at First Colony and is a very fun meet! More information to come. 
7. Championship meet August 3-  This is for swimmers who have earned a championship time (they are on the VPSU website and at the clubhouse). This is held at the WISC- more information to come.
