Hey Klams, 

Just b/c I thought it would be fun to change everything again, we are going back to our original plan. VA Swimming and VPSU say the new limit does not apply to swim meets. 

Please disregard the email sent earlier today. We will do the meet in ONE session, as originally planned. I am SO sorry but you will have to go back and sign-up to volunteer again. I changed the sign-up back to the original format. Here is the first email that was sent so you know what is up. We will have Chick-Fil-A breakfast sandwiches. I appreciate your patience! 

Hey Klams!

Great swimming last night! Here is information for our Virtual Grand Finale!

1. Virtual Grand Finale is Saturday, August 1. Meet will start at 9:00 am.

2. Your swimmer does NOT need a qualifying time to swim. Everyone may swim, regardless of time. This will be run just like our virtual dual meets we have held on Mondays and all swimmers will swim in the same session. The meet should take 2-2.5 hours.

3. Warm-ups at 8:00 as follows:

• 8 and unders: 8:00-8:15
• 9-12: 8:15-8:30
• 13 and overs: 8:30-8:45

4. Please tell Coach Harold if your child will NOT be swimming on Saturday. Your child should also have told Coach Harold what he or she would like to swim.

5. There is no other Championship meet this season. The Virtual Grand Finale on Saturday is the last meet of the summer swim season. Your swimmer's times will be scored against all other swimmers participating in the VPSU League's Virtual Grand Finale. The awards will be provided for the top 16 swimmers in each event. The League is determining the awards and we will notify the team when we have received them.

6. We will have concessions with Chick-Fil-A breakfast sandwiches. Thank you for your support of the concession stand/Kingswood Pool all season!

7. This meet was not included in your initial volunteer sign-up. Please visit the website/app to sign-up to volunteer at the meet. Thank you very much for your help all season!

8. The final Kingswood Klam practices are this Thursday and Friday (depending on your practice level).

9. If something changes with the Covid restrictions, we will send another email with alterations.

Thanks so much for your help this summer! Its was great to have something "normal" for our swimmers to enjoy!
