Hey Klams!

Monday, June 13 is our first away meet against Stonehouse. This is a friendship meet because Stonehouse is not in our division in VPSU. We are in Division 1 and they are in Division 3. This means they are a much smaller team than us so we may need to help their team by filling-in extra volunteer slots. Thank you in advance for your help! (Just as a side note, we do not choose our schedule/teams. This is all done by the VPSU League.) Here is the information for tomorrow's meet: 

1. Stonehouse Splash Friendship Meet: This does not count towards overall standings BUT its a great way to get back into summer swim meets! 

2. Address: Stonehouse Splash Swim Team, 9701 Mill Pond Run, Toano, VA 23168 

3. Start Time: Please arrive NO later than 5:00 so the Coaches can get everyone ready for the meet. Coach Harold will let your swimmer know which events he/she is swimming tomorrow morning at practice. But they will add their heats and lanes at the meet. We would love parent volunteers to help with this process too! Bring a Sharpie! The meet officially begins at 6:00. 

4. What to bring? Towel, swim suit, goggles, drinks, chairs, maybe throw a tent in your car just in case- we normally sit on the sunny side of the pool. We are not doing Klam Buddies at Away meets. 

5. Concessions:  They are doing Chick-Fil-A sandwiches, a drink, chips, and a cookie for $10. They may have pizza as well but were not sure. I am sure they will have other snacks too. Always easier to bring cash to the meets and smaller denominations:) 

6. Volunteers: I will email a reminder to all volunteers shortly. Please be ready if you are a Session 2 volunteer so we can keep the meet moving quickly. (Thank you to those of you who jump in to help tomorrow too!)
