Hello! We have received all of the information for Champs on Saturday. There are a number of specific details they would like everyone to know so I apologize for the length of this email. 

***Please write your child's heat/lane on their hand before coming to the meet- the information is posted in the Clubhouse or is on SwimTopia or the heat sheet will be posted on the VPSU website at some point today. Our coaches will NOT be able to do this on Saturday.*** 

***Please make sure your child gets to the clerk of course before his/her event. Our coaches will be inside the facility and unable to help with this. 

1. Volunteer Sign-up is ready. Please go to the website and click under "calendar" to VPSU Champs meet or on your app. The VPSU League assigns jobs based on the number of swimmers- we do not choose our positions. If your child is swimming, please sign-up. All volunteers will need to go to the volunteer sign-in table by the double doors to sign in (I am unsure how this will work but will find out Saturday am.) **I will have stop watches for the timers.**
2. 11 and older in the am and 10 and younger in the am. The morning session runs 8:30-10:45. The afternoon session runs 12:30-2:30. Relays are at the start of the afternoon session at 12:30. The Awards for the am ceremony will be during the warm-ups for the afternoon. Awards for the afternoon session will be directly following the end of the meet. They will award medals for places 1-8 and ribbons for 9-16. The ribbons will be sent home with the coaches. The award medals will be given at the meet during a ceremony. 
3. Warm-ups: 
   1. 11 and older in the am from 7:00-7:20, lanes 6, 7, 8, and 9
   2. 10 and younger in the pm from 11:00-11:20 lanes 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
4. Here are a few notes from the WISC/VPSU League: (These are their rules:) 
   1. VPSU will not be printing programs this year. A digital copy of the program will be provided in the coming days.
   2. We will try to set-up tents on Friday night. They have assigned us spaces- basically in front of the back entrance to the WISC.
   3. Families may park in the WISC parking lot but should not walk through the WISC facility to reach the pool building at the back. We ask families to walk around the outside of the building to reach the pool.
   4. Against the Grain food truck will be on site selling food.
   5. There will not be any additional concessions sold so please ensure you pack enough food and water for your families
   6. The swimmers’ entrance to the pool for warmups will be through the double doors on the 757 Patio. The Clerk of Course will be on the front patio where all swimmers will be lined up and brought to the blocks from the back side of the pool.
   7. Spectators may enter the pool building to watch their swimmer's events through the 757 Lobby. Once their swimmer's event has concluded, we ask that spectators exit the pool area.
   8. Families may park in the WISC parking lot but should not walk through the WISC facility to reach the pool building at the back. We ask families to walk around the outside of the building to reach the pool.
   9. Please ensure you are using restrooms labeled spectators. Swimmers will use restrooms labeled swimmers. Showers will not be open for use to swimmers.
