Hello Klams!

Monday is our first Division 1 "Away" Meet! This meet we will swim for points and try to win against the Kingsmill Sharks. Here are a few important details for Monday's meet! 

1. Where: Mounts Bay Pool, Kingsmill Resort: 101 Tutters Neck, W-burg 23185. This pool is off the Route 199 Entrance, across from the Harris Teeter on 199. There is a gate, just tell them you are going to the swim meet and show them the logo at the bottom of this email. 
2. Parking: They will have parking attendants directing cars to parkin designated areas. Once the parking lot is full, please park along the grass of Mounts Bay Road on the right side (pool side) and utilize the space all the way down to the bridge.
3. What to bring? We sit on the sunny side of the pool. Bring a tent, chairs, bug spray, and of course your swim gear! Kingsmill asks that you remind all swimmers that Mounts Bay playground will be closed and for swimmers to stay inside the pool deck during the swim meet.
4. Warm-Ups: 5:15 arrival for 5:30 warm-ups. (You may want to give yourself extra time for parking!)

6. Klam Buddies: We do not bring gifts for our Klam buddies for the away meets, but be sure you cheer on your buddy and all of the Klams!
7. Concessions: They will have the “Shark Shack” concessions that will serve delicious sandwiches, pasta salads, drinks, hot dogs, burgers, and sides. The Shark Shack accepts credit card and cash. Polar Ice will also be available.
8. Ribbons:  Kingsmill awards ribbons based on place in heat. 
9. Volunteer Spots Needed: We have a few spots that did not get filled this season. For the Kingsmill meet I am in need of 1 scorer for the first shift (you sit in the AC so if you are concerned about the heat, this is a perfect job for you) and 2 timers for the second shift. Thank you so much!
