Happy Memorial Day Weekend! Here is information for the pool and swim team. Please email Laura if you have any questions! Happy to help!

1. Spirit Wear! Klam Gear Our Spirit Store is open until Friday! Order your Klam Gear Now! This is your only chance for the summer! 
2. Kingswood Klam 5 K Race: 5 K Race Signup
3. Pool Sponsorship- DUE ASAP: Pool Sponsor Form
4. Practice Times: Practice starts Tuesday! We will swim in the rain, but please use your best judgement for your child. We want this to be a fun experience! On the website under the "Teams" Tab you will find your practice time. Practice times are in the evening until Thursday, 6/11. 
5. Swim Lessons: Session 1: June 1- June 12. We really encourage swim lessons for those still learning to swim. See the website for Session 2 and 3 times. Sign-up at the Front Desk.
6. Swim Meets: Coach Harold wants all swimmers to participate in the meets. Our first meet is Monday, June 15 at Windsor Forest- I will send specific information for each meet that week but please let me know if you have any questions. 
7. VPSU Rule Changes: Please note the following changes from VPSU this year:
   1. Top 2 swimmers from each team score in each race, regardless of heat. All swimmers are ranked first place to last place and scored accordingly. 
   2. The top 6 swimmers will earn ribbons place 1-6, regardless of heat and team. For example, if KW swimmers place 1-6 and the other team places 7 and 8, the opposing team will still earn points for their top 2 swimmers  but not ribbons.  
   3. 7th place and beyond it is up to the individual pool's discretion if they award ribbons. *Please note, many pools are opting to not award ribbons beyond 6th place due to costs. KW will award rainbow participation ribbons for 10 and younger swimmers placing 7th place and beyond only. 
   4. VPSU added a mixed freestyle relay at the start of the meet, followed by a 10 minute break. Relays will not receive ribbons. 
8. Donation Sign-up: Please go to the website, click on Calendar and the Job Sign up for the Donations to select your donation. We ask each family to provide one item for the summer.
