Hello Klams! Lots of information in this email (pool address, double/triple winners, t-shirt orders, etc.) **Champs t-shirts ends Friday**

Monday, July 20 we will have our final swim meet of the season away at First Colony! This is also the day of our team picture and pancake breakfast. We need a few more volunteers for the First Colony meet- please sign-up to help if you are able.

**Summer Awards: July 25 at Kingswood Pool. We need more help! We especially need an announcer! Please sign-up to volunteer and feel free to bring a friend/child to help! Coach Harold will discuss which events your child may swim with you. Your swimmer may only swim events he/she does not have a "Champs" time. Last year, we charged for the event fees, we do not need to do that this year as we are the host team. 10 and younger are in the morning, 11 and older are in the afternoon. Sign up to help under the event "Summer Awards."

Upcoming Events: 

1. Team Picture- 8:45- we are taking the picture at 8:45- swim suits- no shirts.

2. Pancake Breakfast: (please sign-up to bring something)

• 8:00- 13 and over yr. old swim practice
• 8:45- team picture, 13 and over and 8 and younger eat pancakes
• 9:00- 9-12 yr. old swim practice
• 10:00- 9-12 yr. old eat pancakes

1. When: Monday, July 20- meet starts at 6:00
2. Where: First Colony Pool 125 Pasbehegh, 23185
3. Warm-ups: 5:30
4. Seating: Large grass area outside of pool (only coaches and swimmers may set-up inside the fence). Bring chairs, tents, bug spray!
5. Parking: Pool side of street only, they have parking attendants. 
6. Clerk of Course: Swimmers will report here before their events and is located at the starting end of the pool and 8 and younger at the opposite end. 
7. Concessions: Food Truck!

Extras:

1. Summer Awards T-Shirts- Summer Awards Shirt The store is still open with a slightly increased price! Order yours today!
2. Champs T-Shirts: Champs T-Shirts The store is open until Friday, July 17. Order yours today as they will not have any at the meet for sale.
3. Champs- Saturday, August 1 at 757Swim Aquatic Center- 11 and older swimmers are in the morning. 10 and younger swimmers are in the afternoon. *If your child attends Champs, you will most likely need to volunteer. The volunteers are based on team size and as we will have more swimmers attending, we will need more volunteers. This information will be available soon. 
4. Double/Triple Winners- VPSU acknowledges the meet double winners for 6 and younger swimmers and the triple winners for 7 and older swimmers at Champs. Please let me know if your child was a double winner in a single swim meet (6 and under) or a triple winner in a single swim meet (7 and older). This is for the entire event, not by heat. Please let me know ASAP.
5. Sponsorships: If you are interested in sponsoring at Champs, please let me know and I will pass on the information for you! This is due by 7/17.
